Lunar Eclipse

* Commemorates the passing Lama Tsong Khapa, the founder of the Gelupa Lineage. This year marks the 600^th anniversary, making it a very special occasion. It is customary to offer light offerings as well as flowers and fruit.

#  Commemorates the  passing of Lama Tsong Khapa’s heart student and founder of Dhetsang Monastery Ngawang Drakpa.  To commemorate this important date a second Guru Puja has been scheduled.

On the Tibetan 8^th, 15^th (Full moon) and 30^th (New moon) of every month, the karmic effects of all positive or negative actions are multiplied many times. The Tibetan 10^th and 25^th of every month are Tsog offering days. On the special days related to Lord Buddha, the karma effects of all positive and negative actions are multiplied 100,000,000 times.
